This project is a revision of an earlier short film I created during a Film Production class at Cazenovia College. The film, titled “La Vie de Lefty” or “The Life of Lefty” was produced using stop motion animation and tells the story of a fuzzy dice named Lefty falling in love. Originally, the film was produced in color as a requirement of the original assignment, and all of the shots ran on for much longer due to my relative inexperience with video editing software at the time.
However, I was able to go back and re-edit the film, beginning with trimming down the frames. I also edited the footage to appear in black and white, as a tribute to the work of French filmmaker Jean Cocteau, and I changed the original curled cursive font used for the title to a more sketchy font.
